Tax default: 249 properties sealed

Ahmedabad: The civic body's property tax department on Monday sealed 249 properties for default in the city's western area. Additionally, water and drainage connections for 10 residential properties with outstanding property taxes were severed. Societies where the connections were severed include New Rangsagar Society in Bopal and Unity Bungalows, Classic Park, Gulmohar Society and Chinar Park Society in Maktampura. On the same day, property tax amounting to Rs 89.57 lakh was recovered. AMC's solid waste department, meanwhile, issued notices to 100 units for littering. tnn
