Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore’s Holkar Stadium has not hosted an IPL match since 2018, and once again, it has been left out of the IPL 2025 schedule.

Cricket fans in Madhya Pradesh are disappointed as they were hoping for at least one match this year.

Last year, on January 14, Holkar Stadium hosted a T20 match between India and Afghanistan. After this, many believed that Indore might be included in the IPL 2025 schedule. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the IPL 2025 schedule on February 16, and Indore did not get a single match.

Indore Lost IPL Matches After 2018 Because...

Holkar Stadium was once the home ground for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). From 2011 to 2018, the stadium hosted eight IPL matches. However, in 2018, the franchise distanced itself from Indore due to a controversy over free passes.

Punjab Kings' co-owner, Bollywood actress Preity Zinta, had expressed strong dissatisfaction over the issue. She accused Indore’s administration and police of causing trouble regarding ticket passes. Since then, no IPL franchise has chosen Indore as a venue.
