Bautista Panelo slams 6 goals as Vimal Arion Achievers polo team retains Raffles Sirmour Cup

Jaipur: Bautista Panelo slammed half a dozen goals and single-handedly guided his team Vimal Arion Achievers to a thumping 7-3 victory against Aravali Polo in the 12-goal final of the Raffles Sirmour Cup at the Rajasthan Polo Club ground here on Sunday.
With a handicap of plus 5, Panelo lived up to his reputation to steal the show in the summit clash. Defending champions Arion Achievers dominated from the start to finish with Panelo leading from the front.
Aravali Polo played well in patches but just could not stop the rampaging Vimal Arion Achievers from winning back-to-back titles. The title of Most Valuable Player in the tournament was claimed by Panelo of Argentina.
General manager of Raffles Jaipur, Binny Sebastian presented the trophy to the winning team. Ashok Abhyankar from the Raffles group was also present on the occasion. Narendra Singh, Digvijay Singh, Parul Rai, Vikram Rathore and Vikramaditya Barkana were also present on the occasion.
Besides Panelo, Vishwarupe Bajaj scored the remaining goal. Abhimanyu Pathak and Daniel Otamendi were also part of the team. Federico Boudou waged a lone battle for the losers with 3 goals. The other members of the Team Aravali Polo were Dino Dhankhar, Kuldeep Singh Rathore and Manolo F Llorente.
