More snow for St. Louis: How much Sunday? And how much more next week?
ST. LOUIS – There’s once again potential for more snow in the St. Louis region, both before this weekend ends and as the new workweek unfolds.
The next chance of snow is expected overnight between Saturday evening and Sunday morning. After some rain on Saturday, colder air will sweep in, changing precipitation into a wintry mix.
Snow is most likely to fall from 10 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday.
Based on FOX 2’s current forecast projections, snowfall totals should stay light, with around or less than one inch of snow accumulation expected for much of Greater St. Louis.
Consider that an appetizer for what’s to come. Temperatures could drop into the 20s and teens later into Sunday, and even colder temperatures in the upcoming days could set the stage for more snow next week.

Another winter storm system is in the works for much of Tuesday and Wednesday, making way from the west. Multiple inches of snow is a strong possibility with this system, though timing and impacts still remain to be determined. Forecasts show that Missouri and Illinois communities south of Interstate 70 may experience some heavy snowfall.
Stay tuned for updates as we draw closer to the middle of next week.
