FIR against Chandigarh resident for Rs 45,000 job scam

Chandigarh: The police have booked a resident of Sector 48 for allegedly duping a person of Rs 45,000 on the pretext of providing a job in the municipal corporation of Chandigarh.
The complainant, Jagdish Raj from Gurdaspur, Punjab, alleged that the amount was transferred to a State Bank account, but Hardeep Singh, the accused, did not provide any job. When the complainant asked for his money, the accused did not respond.
Jagdish Raj filed a complaint at SSP public window in the police headquarters. After verifying the facts, Sector 19 police registered a case under the relevant sections of the BNS and initiated an investigation. No arrest has been made in the case so far.
