People are not missing the opportunity to soak themselves in the auspiciousness of Maha Kumbh, which is reportedly taking place after 144 years. While some are seen taking a photo of their deceased parents to Triveni Sangam, others are seen attending the celebration with their pet dogs. A recent video has captured a man dipping his mobile phone in the holy waters, undoubtedly amusing netizens.
The video shows a man suggesting the mobile has committed sins and requires purification, thus making him dip the device at the Triveni Sangam. He is seen holding his phone in his hands and offering it a holy dip at the blessed spot.

Dipping phone in holy water, really?
The clip shows this man giving his phone a holy dip at Prayagraj. He entered the river in his boxers and held the device in his hands.
The video initially appeared like a usual video of people documenting their experience from Maha Kumbh by recording their holy dip moment. However, seconds into the footage, this man chose to dip his phone instead of taking the 'snan' himself.
"Mobile paap ke hakdar h..."
He offered his phone a holy dip alongside many devotees bathing in the holy water.
The man posted the reel on Instagram, saying, "Mobile bhi bhaut paap ke hakdar h (Mobile is accountable of sin too)".
Internet reacts to viral video
Identified as Kuwar Kaushal Sahu, the man recommended others too bathe their phones in the Ganges during their visit to Maha Kumbh. This left netizens shocked and amused at the same time. They couldn't believe someone could dare to dip their phone in water, which might affect the device's functionality.
"Mobile ko moksha mil jayega fir hamesha ke liye", one commented, suggesting the phone might run out of service forever. "Chrome browser ka paap dho Diya", said another.
Many replied to the viral video with laughter emojis.
The reel was uploaded online on February 13 and it has already received 2.8 lakh views.
