CM announces new ring in Ara to ease traffic congestion
Ara: CM Nitish Kumar during his Pragati yatra on Sunday announced various development projects for the Bhojpur district, including a ring road at Ara, with a view to mitigating the perennial problem of traffic jams in the town.
"You are well aware that the NDA govt in Bihar has done a lot of development work in the Bhojpur district. However, whatever is left will soon be completed soon. With an aim to give relief to the commuters in Ara from traffic congestion, a new ring road will be built. Under this scheme, while two new roads will be built, four roads will be widened," said the CM here on Sunday. At Zero Mile he inspected the site for the proposed ring road.
According to the district officials, the ring road will be from Asni to Bampali and Patar to Asni. The roads proposed for widening are: Zero Mile to Asni, Zero Mile to Patar, Bampali to Pakri via Chandwa More and Aaranya Devi temple in Ara to Ara-Buxar four lane road via Ara-Sinha and Ara-Barhara.
The CM also announced widening of Ara-Babura-Chhapra road; new road from Sandesh to Koelwar on the canal embankment. This will provide direct connectivity with J P Ganga path making it easier to go to the PMCH for the people of four blocks, including Sandesh, Sahar, Agiyaon and Piro.
In order to give relief from waterlogging in Ara Municipal Corporation areas, several new drainage projects were also announced by the CM.
Out of the 14 blocks in the district, 10 will get new block-cum-circle office buildings. Besides this, the road from Ara railway station to Judge Kothi More will be widened. A new road will also be built on the canal embankment from Chandwa to Dharhara via Gangi in Ara.
He announced to get the renovation done of the famous Sun God temple at Dev village under the Tarari block.
Besides, the road from Bihiya roundabout to NH-922 will also be widened. The CM also announced a
new bypass road for easing traffic jams at Piro.
