Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The effect of the recent western disturbance over the Himalayas has waned, leading to a rise in temperature after a brief dip over the past few days. For the last two to three days, the day and night temperatures had been gradually decreasing, but now they are climbing again.

On Saturday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 31.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature stood at 16 degrees Celsius. A day earlier, these were 29.1 degrees Celsius and 13.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Due to this increase, the weather felt warmer on Saturday, and even in the evening, the chill in the air was less noticeable. The humidity level was recorded at 30 per cent, and westerly winds blew at speeds of 10-27 kilometres per hour.

According to scientists at the India Meteorological Department, another western disturbance is expected to become active over the Himalayas on February 17. This system will also impact the region, leading to further fluctuations in temperature.

Previously, the weakening of the last western disturbance had caused a drop in temperature. Now, with the new disturbance approaching, temperatures are expected to rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
