UP Grace rout BHEL Wards

Lucknow: Continuing their dominant performance, UP Grace routed BHEL Wards, Hyderabad, 14-0 in a Pool C match of the 35th All-India KD Singh 'Babu' Sub-Junior Hockey Tournament at Guru Gobind Singh Sports College on Saturday. Skipper Jansal Pal netted five goals, while Shivanshu Shukla and Mohd Riyaz scored three goals each. Abu Huzaifa and Naitik Yadav also chipped in with two and one goal, respectively, to seal the massive win. In other matches of the day, TWC, Manipur, defeated Grassroot, Kolkata, 8-4, while Rajasthan crushed Tata Steel, Jamshedpur, 13-0.
Akshdeep stars in CAL win
Man of the Match Akshdeep Nath's all-round performance helped Cricket Association Lucknow (CAL) beat Jalaun DCA by five wickets in the 18th Asi Ali Memorial All-India Cricket League at KD Singh Stadium in Barabanki on Saturday. Batting first, Jalaun were bowled out for 197 runs in 41.3 overs, with major contributions from Apoorv Singh (38) and Prateek Singh (31). Atif Sajid claimed four wickets, while Jamshed Alam and Akshdeep took two wickets each.In reply, CAL chased down the target in 32.4 overs for the loss of five wickets. Akshdeep smashed 92 runs off 86 balls, hitting 13 boundaries and a six. Kushagra Singh also contributed 69 runs.
Lucknow's campaign ends
Lucknow's campaign in the Uttar Pradesh State-Level Samanvya Sub-Junior Boys' Boxing Championship ended as Krishna, Gaurav, Yusuf, and Lakshya lost their respective semi-final bouts on Saturday. Krishna lost to Puneet of Saharanpur in the 35-37 kg weight category, while Gaurav was beaten by Nikhil of Gorakhpur in the 43-46 kg category. In the 52-55 kg category, Agra's Adarsh edged past Lakshya, while Yusuf failed to mount a challenge against Raunak of Prayagraj in the 67-70 kg category.
