The Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (Tangedco) has renewed power purchase agreements with the Kalpakkam and Kaiga Atomic Power Stations. Through the agreements, the State will get 330 MW of power from the Kalpakkam unit and 196 MW from the Kaiga station, ensuring a total supply of 526 MW for a period of 15 years. This will help meet a portion of Tamil Nadu’s growing power demand, an official statement said. The pacts were signed in presence of Tangedco Chairman and Manging Director of Tangedco.
