Embark on a picturesque journey through Munnar aboard the iconic KSRTC Royal View Double-Decker Bus. On February 8, KSRTC launched this new double-decker bus for tourists in Munnar, offering amazing views of the hill station. The bus has quickly become a hit with tourists, with many already booking their seats online or over the phone. Rajeev NR, the district coordinator of the KSRTC budget tourism cell, noted that the number of tourists is increasing daily, with 30 passengers on the morning trip on Friday. This service provides a breathtaking view of Munnar, often referred to as the Kashmir of the south, allowing travelers to fully immerse themselves in the stunning landscapes that define this beautiful region.

The bus operates three times a day at 9 am, 12.30 pm, and 4 pm, with each trip lasting three hours. Starting from the Munnar KSRTC bus stand, the bus travels through various picturesque spots like Periyakanal waterfalls, Signal Point, Lockhart View, Rock Cave (Malaikallan Cave), Orange Farm View, and tea estates before reaching its final destination, Anayirangal Dam. Rajeev mentioned that they stop at each spot for 10 minutes so tourists can enjoy the views.

Price:

The prices for the upper deck seats are Rs 400 per passenger, while the lower deck seats cost Rs 200 each. The upper deck has 38 seats, and the lower deck has 12 seats available.
