Chennai idly batter unit owner arrested for illegal possession of PDS rice

Police arrested a batter-making unit owner in Chennai for illegally possessing 322 kgs of rice meant for public distribution. The authorities also seized 500 kgs of idly batter and three grinders. The investigation revealed that the unit was likely diverting the subsidized rice with the help of ration shop employees.
