Aero India 2025: Love takes flight on a Valentine’s Day like no other
Bengaluru: With a thundering symphony of jet engines and the canvas of Bengaluru's skies, Aero India 2025 transformed into an unexpected haven for romance this Valentine's Day. Couples from across the city chose the aviation showcase to write their own love stories.
The Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team (Skat) painted its own tribute to love, etching a heart and Cupid's arrow across the heavens — a moment that had couples gasping in delight. (For those who want to know how exactly this manoeuvre is performed, read TOI's story in the Feb 14 edition).
For many, this was no ordinary date. Take Ashit Chuphal and Hrithika Panchikkal, whose six-year romance reached new heights as they shared her first Aero India experience. "I wanted her first show to be special," said Ashit, who travelled from Ramamurthy Nagar to make this moment count. "Where else can you find both adventure and love in one place?"
The event drew couples of all kinds, from newlyweds to dating partners seeking something extraordinary. Yelahanka locals Shavani and Yash chose the airshow for its unique appeal, while newly married Hemanth G even called in "sick" at work to surprise his wife Pushapa KS. "Seeing her excitement made it all worthwhile," he confessed, still mesmerised by the aerial displays.
As fighter jets painted the sky with their dramatic manoeuvres, these couples proved that love, like aviation, knows no bounds.
