Man shot in leg, aunt held for murder bid

Noida: Police arrested a 33-year-old woman, Neetu, for allegedly conniving with her brothers and shooting at her nephew on Feb 11 following an argument over cow dung cakes.
Neetu allegedly sent her brothers to scare her nephew, Ankit, after she had an argument with his mother over their kids spoiling cow dung cakes made for the family's use.
Ankit said a few things during the argument, which apparently upset Neetu. She then told her brothers to come with guns and scare Ankit. However, the 27-year-old man was shot at outside his house in Nangla Chamru village. While Ankit was taken to the hospital for treatment, his uncle filed a complaint under sections 109(1) (attempt to murder) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy). On Thursday, police arrested Neetu, and the complainant's wife, for conspiring with her brothers, who are believed to have been the ones who shot Ankit.
