A new operation theatre at People for Animals (PFA), Mysuru, will be inaugurated on Friday. The new facility, supported by Ashraya Hastha Trust, will ramp up the organisation’s capacity for animal care.

It will be launched by Trishika Kumari Wadiyar and Divya Dinesh, trustee, Ashraya Hastha Trust, and an animal welfare crusader.

A release said the project was made possible through the generous support of the Ashraya Hastha Trust, which has played a vital role in advancing animal welfare, advocacy, policy initiatives, and awareness across the country.

The essential medical equipment was donated by Dr. D.L. Madhavi, a PFA Trustee based in the U.S., while Kokila Ramesh Jain of Jeev Daya Jain Charity contributed two operation tables.

The release said this initiative is a significant step in improving animal health care by enhancing surgical and treatment facilities, ensuring better medical care for injured and sick animals, and strengthening the overall veterinary infrastructure in the region.

The facility is also expected to result in more efficient and timely care ensuring better recovery outcomes.
