DGR directs action over protocol violation
Mangaluru: Health and family welfare minister and the district minister of Dakshina Kannada, Dinesh Gundu Rao, has instructed the chief secretary to take action against officials who violated protocol during the inauguration of development projects in Mangaluru.
Recently, several development projects costing around Rs 7.9 crore, including the Mangaladevi primary health centre, veterinary clinic, staff quarters, bus terminal and Park, which were taken up under the Smart City project in collaboration with the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC), were inaugurated.
The minister stated that neither he nor his office was informed about this event, which constitutes a clear breach of protocol. He directed that action be taken against the responsible officials, and that contract employees be immediately relieved of their duties.
