Madikeri: Virajpet MLA AS Ponnanna, who is also CM's legal adviser, along with Sullia MLA Bhagirathi Murulya, have decided to pursue legal channels for developing the Aranthodu-Thodikana-Patti-Bhagamandala road.
During a meeting at the Sabha Bhavan of Thodikana Sri Mallikarjuna Temple, the two MLAs discussed the project.
Following discussions with committee officials, Ponnanna promised to bring the issue to the attention of CM Siddaramaiah and forest minister Eshwar Khandre.
MLA Bhagirathi Murulya pledged her support, stating that she would discuss with the forest minister and revenue minister Krishna Byregowda and relevant authorities to advance the project.
The MLAs inspected the road development project along with committee president Santosh Kuthamotte.
Sadananda Mavaji, president of Karnataka Arebhashe Sanskriti and Sahitya Academy, Aranthodu gram panchayat president Keshav Adtale, and former Temple Management Committee president Kishore Kumar were present.
