Salem: Two Class XI students of a govt school were arrested for sexually abusing a Class 7 student at Attur in Salem district on Wednesday night.
The survivor narrated the abuses she underwent from three students by calling 1098 Childline on Wednesday.
Officials immediately visited the school and conducted an inquiry with the students.
During the inquiry, one of the suspects managed to flee while Childline officials nabbed and handed over the other two to the Attur all women police.
"We arrested the two students under the
Pocso Act on Wednesday night," police said. A search is on for the third student.
The nabbed students were lodged in a government home after being produced before the judicial magistrate at the Attur sub-court.
