Actress Trisha Krishnan informed her fans on Tuesday that her X handle was hacked by some miscreants. She cautioned her fans against believing anything that gets posted on the account until her next update.
Trisha took to her Instagram and penned a note which read, "My Twitter is hacked guys. Whatever posted is not from me until rectified. Thanks (sic)."
Her statement came hours after a post was shared on her X handle promoting suspicious cryptocurrency links. "I am excited to do something like this for the first time. I created my own cryptocurrency and now it’s live! I love you all (sic)," the post read. It has now been deleted.
This is not the first time that Trisha's social media account has been hacked. A similar incident happened back in 2017 and the actress had deactivated her X account for quite some time before returning to the platform.
On the work front, Trisha was recently seen in Vidaamuyarchi, in which she shared the screen with Ajith Kumar and Arjun Sarja. After multiple delays, the film finally hit the theatres, and it is being loved by the masses.
Vidaamuyarchi also marked the comeback of Ajith and Trisha’s hit jodi. They have earlier worked together in movies like Kireedam, Ji, Poorna Market, and more.
Vidaamuyarchi opened with Rs 22 crore at the box office on its first day. Around Rs 21.50 crore came from the original Tamil version alone, while the Telugu version of the film raked in Rs 50 lakh on Day 1.
