Lecturers’ association seeks decentralisation of evaluation centres

Published - February 11, 2025 07:29 pm IST - Bengaluru

The Pre-University College Lecturers Association has requested the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) to decentralise the evaluation centres for II PUC Science subjects.

In a petition submitted to the KSEAB Chairman, the association detailed the challenges they faced during the evaluation, as several of them had to travel all the way to Bengaluru from various districts. “The evaluators have to stay in Bengaluru for at least 10 days and it would be difficult for them to arragements for accommodation. Considering these issues, the board must decentralise the evaluation centres to other districts too,” the association said.

Meanwhile, the association has also requested to make evaluation optional for lecturers above 55 years of age and those with health issues.
