Mulund parking dispute turns violent; 30-year-old man brutally attacked, two arrested | Representative Image

Mumbai: A minor car parking dispute in Mulund Colony escalated into a brutal attack, leaving a 30-year-old man seriously injured. The incident took place late at night on February 8 in front of Cosmi Cos Company on Hanuman Pada Road, Hindustan Chowk. The FIR has been registered against Rahul Vasant Hande, Rohit Manohar Dethe and two unknown Person in Mulund Police Station.

According to the Police, The victim, Gurpreet Singh Baljit Singh Janjhua, had recently moved to Mulund with his wife. Around 11:30 PM, he was trying to park his Maruti Suzuki car when he encountered a motorcycle blocking the road. The bike's rider was engaged in a conversation with a woman and refused to move despite Gurpreet honking. When he stepped out of his car and requested the rider to clear the way, an argument ensued.

The situation quickly turned violent when the accused verbally abused and physically assaulted Gurpreet. He was punched, kicked, and struck on the legs with a stone, causing severe injuries. The accused then called three associates, and the group attacked Gurpreet with knives, iron rods, wooden sticks, and stones.

Despite the assault, Gurpreet managed to call the police helpline (100). Police arrived at the scene but faced resistance, as the attackers even tried to assault the officers. After a brief struggle, police arrested Rahul Vasant Hande (25) and Rohit Manohar Dethe (24). However, two accomplices managed to escape.

The absconding suspects are described as being between 25-30 years old. One was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and half pants, while the other wore a red t-shirt and full-length pants.

Gurpreet sustained severe injuries to his head, face, ears, chest, and legs and was admitted to Agarwal Hospital in Mulund for treatment. The attackers also vandalized his car, shattering the windows and causing damages of approximately 1.5 lakh.

A case has been filed under charges of attempted murder, property damage, and obstructing police duties. Authorities are actively searching for the remaining suspects.
