27 nabbed from gambling den, material worth Rs60L seized

Nagpur: In a major action, the Nagpur rural police busted a gambling den operating at a poultry farm near Muknapur village under the jurisdiction of Deolapar police station. Cops nabbed 27 gamblers and seized material worth Rs60 lakh, including Rs3 lakh cash.
According to police, the action was taken following a tip-off received by Soaner region's DySP Anil Mhaske. The seized material included cash, 11 cars, two-wheelers, mobiles, and other items.
Sources said the majority of the gamblers were from Madhya Pradesh, especially Balaghat, Chhindwara and other districts. The action was taken under the guidance of Nagpur Rural SP Harssh Poddar.
The rural police also busted another den in Narkhed on Saturday and nabbed nine gamblers. Police seized eight bikes and cash worth Rs4.02 lakh.
