Bank manager conned of Rs 2 lakh

Mangaluru: A bank manager lost nearly Rs 2.1 lakh in an online fraud. In a complaint, the woman working in a bank in Belthangady said that on Feb 7, she received a text message on her phone containing a link. Upon clicking the link, her Gmail and Amazon app were allegedly hacked.
Subsequently, she received messages on her phone notifying her of unauthorised transactions on her credit cards, including Rs 30,000 and Rs 42,000 from One Card Federal, Rs 48,000 from the ICICI Amazon Card, Rs 49,500 from the Federal Bank Credit Card, and Rs 50,000 from the SBI Credit Card. A case was registered at the CEN Crime Police Station.
