Now, expanding its services, Zepto has partnered with Skoda Auto to deliver cars. In the video shared by the quick-commerce company on social media shows its agents picking up and delivering the Skoda Kushaq directly from a dealership.
Zepto and Skoda released a video on their social media channels featuring a Zepto delivery agent who is unaware that he is about to deliver a car. In the video, the agent, who is part of Zepto’s newly launched service, is shown collecting a Skoda Kushaq from the showroom and driving it for delivery.
The video demonstrates that after the agent retrieves the vehicle from the showroom, it is securely loaded onto a flatbed truck for transportation. Zepto intends to introduce this service shortly, enabling customers to purchase Skoda cars online. In addition to the Kushaq, Zepto may also offer delivery of other Skoda models, including the Slavia sedan and the Kodiaq SUV.
As Zepto is known for 10-minute delivery, car delivery through its platform is expected to take more time. Unlike groceries, delivering a vehicle involves documentation, which is a time-consuming process.
E-commerce sites are now accepting orders and shipping automotive items, leading to a rise in online sales of two-wheelers. Regarding four-wheel vehicles, Zepto is expected to partner with local Skoda dealerships to enhance the delivery process.
