Man held for hunting and killing peacocks in Kalyan

Mumbai: The forest department in Kalyan arrested a man for hunting and killing several peacocks in Runde village, Kalyan. The forest department also seized the carcasses of birds from the accused.
The arrested accused was identified as Ganesh Fasale. The forest officials said that they received information from their sources that someone in Runde village, was hunting peacocks. R N Channe, Range Forest Officer of Kalyan Division, said, "Acting on information, we laid a trap and nabbed Fasale from the village, and during the probe, we found several carcasses of peacocks at his house."
