The second ODI between India and England in Cuttack was temporarily halted due to a floodlight failure during the 6th over of India’s innings. With Rachin Ravindra copping a blow to his forehead during the tri-series opener in Lahore on Saturday and the PCB facing backlash seemingly due to floodlight failure, a section of fans haven't taken a backseat to troll India now.

At that moment, India was off to a strong start at 48/0, with Rohit Sharma in great form. He also achieved a significant milestone, surpassing Chris Gayle to become the second-highest six-hitter in ODI cricket. Rohit remained unbeaten on 29, while Shubman Gill was on 17.

Here's how netizens have reacted on the same:

Yesterday Rachin Ravindra sustained a serious facial injury during the first match of the tri-series against Pakistan due to inadequate floodlighting.

The incident happened in the 38th over when Khushdil Shah hit a high pull shot. Positioned at deep backward square leg, Ravindra tried to catch the ball but lost sight of it in the stadium lights. The ball struck his forehead, leaving him bloodied and shaken as he fell to the ground.

England Posts 304 Before Being Bowled Out

England put up a competitive total of 304 in their 50 overs despite losing all their wickets. They started well, with key contributions from Joe Root (69), Jos Buttler (34), Harry Brook (31), and Liam Livingstone (41). At one stage, it seemed unlikely they would reach 300, but late runs helped push their total past the mark. Ravindra Jadeja was India’s top bowler, delivering an impressive spell of 10-1-35-3.
