TPCC senior leader V. Hanumantha Rao on Friday said that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had done justice to the Backward Classes community by successfully complete the caste census.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, Hanumantha Rao said that Revanth Reddy had fulfilled party leader Rahul Gandhi's promise of enumerating the BC community population in the caste census, and concluded the process by placing the report in the Assembly, thereby creating a historical record.
"The Chief Minister is favourable for the BC communities and he will give more importance to the community in the local body elections. The BJP is deliberately making false allegations and indulging in damaging the constitutional rights in the country. In Parliament, Union home minister abused Dr B.R. Amedkar," Hanumantha Rao said.
The Congress government has strived for implementing Six Guarantees, finished BC caste census and SC categorisation. The Congress is the only political party in fulfilling its promises, he said.
The TPCC leader participated in a demonstration staged at the Gandhi Bhavan by wearing handcuffs to symbolically protest the US government's move to shackle and chain immigrants who were deported to India.
