Delhi Election Results 2025: UPSC tutor Awadh Ojha, fondly called Ojha sir by his students, who joined the Aam Aadmi Party ahead of the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, has lost from the Patparganj Assembly Constituency by a huge margin of more than 28,000 votes. According to updated Delhi Election Results on the Election Commission’s official website, Awadh Ojha received a total of 45,988 votes, losing to BJP’s Ravinder Singh Negi (Ravi Negi) by a margin of 28,072 votes.
Ravi Negi emerged victorious from the Patparganj Assembly seat, securing a total of 74,060 votes, according to EC data.
Ojha’s massive defeat has become meme-worthy content on social media users trolled the educator over his popular phrase “Think like a king and you will become a king one day”. “Looks like Ojha sir will not be able to become a king after all,” a user wrote on X.
Originally hailing from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, Awadh Pratap Ojha is a popular educator in UPSC coaching circles, having tutored UPSC and other civil services aspirants for the last two decades. During his 22-year teaching career, Ojha, a popular social media figure with millions of followers across various platforms, has reportedly tutored dozens, if not hundreds of successful UPSC aspirants, who have gone on to become IAS, IPS officers.
Born on July 3, 1984 in middle-income household, Awadh Ojha’s father, Mata Prasad Ojha, was a postmaster, who valued education, despite coming from a humble background. Ojha’s father reportedly sold 5 acres of land to help his wife, who later went on to become a lawyer, get an education.
Later. Mata Prasad sold another parcel of land in order to fund his son’s studies in Delhi.
During his early years, Awadh Ojha attempted the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE), but failed to clear the mains. Following his unsuccessful UPSC attempt, Awadh Ojha gravitated towards teaching and established a coaching institute for civil services aspirants in UP’s Prayagraj (then Allahabad).
Despite being unable to achieve his dream of becoming a civil servant, Awadh Ojha has taught and mentored scores of UPSC aspirants, who have credited his tutoring for their success in civil service examinations.
Awadh Ojha boasts stellar academic qualification, having earned a Masters in Arts, a law degree, as well as a doctorate (PhD).
