Patna: Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary on Friday led BJP celebrations here following the party's victory in the Delhi assembly elections.
The state BJP headquarters had a festive Holi-like atmosphere as party workers, including women, burst crackers, smeared coloured powder on each other and distributed sweets. Amid drumbeats, Choudhary waved the party flag at the entrance, surrounded by jubilant supporters.
"The long jinx for the BJP has been broken under the charismatic leadership of PM Narendra Modi.

Delhi has given a clear message of faith in his leadership. This is a proud and satisfying day for our party president J P Nadda," Choudhary said.
He and Union minister Giriraj Singh had campaigned extensively among Poorvanchali and Bihar voters. Bihar BJP spokesman Prem Ranjan Patel said, "Fifty party functionaries from the state were stationed in the national capital."
Chaudhary added, "This victory shows that Poorvanchali and Bihar people overwhelmingly supported the BJP. It is said that whoever they support wins Delhi."
