Chinnamile Anji Reddy, BJP candidate for the forthcoming biennial election to the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates’ constituency, has alleged that the previous BRS government and the present Congress dispensation in Telangana belied the hopes of unemployed youth in the State.

Speaking after filing his nomination papers in Karimnagar on Friday, Mr. Reddy accused both BRS and Congress of jeopardising the interests of unemployed graduates by making false promises on job creation and unemployment allowance.

More than a year has passed since the ruling Congress promised to provide ₹4,000 as monthly unemployment allowance, yet not a single rupee has been given to anyone till date, he charged.

He said he would amplify the voice of the educated graduates and strive to safeguard their interests.

BJP MLA from Kamareddy K. Venkata Ramana Reddy, former MLC N. Ramchander Rao and others were present.
