Ranchi: While the opposition BJP in Ranchi broke into rapturous celebration following the saffron camp's thunderous victory in Delhi assembly polls on Saturday, Jharkhand Congress, part of the ruling coalition in the state, took to streets in the capital to protest against the ‘inhuman' deportation of Indians from the US and the alleged silence of Narendra Modi govt over the issue.

The Congress failed to win any seat in the Delhi election for the third consecutive time.
On Friday, ministers and MLAs of the state Congress had also met top brass of All India Congress Committee (AICC) including national president Mallickarjun Kharge and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi.
Upon returning, the local unit of the grand old party led by its state president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh took out the march shouting slogans against the Modi govt and burnt effigies.
Kamlesh said, "The way Indians were brought back to their own nation with handcuffs and in inhumane condition, we expected Modiji would take a tough stand. But he went silent. Instead of registering a strong protest, even the external affairs ministry seems to be siding with the US govt by trying to justify deportation in such a manner."
He added, "Poor Indians were forced to leave the country because the Modi govt since 2014 failed to create jobs, nurture businesses and provide any ecosystem for its people. Every Indian who once applauded US president Donald Trump's visit to India in the past at Modi's behest is now feeling embarrassed. It is unfortunate that under Modi govt, fraudsters and criminals managed to leave the country legally, while common people were forced to migrate ‘illegally' for employment."
State rural development minister Deepika Pandey Singh said while Modiji once called him (Donald Trump) his close friend it's irony how the latter treated Indians.
"Countries like Colombia did not allow the American plane to land and brought their citizens back with respect but India looked hapless. During the Congress rule, Indian foreign policy ensured that Indians were never humiliated globally. The PM should apologise to the nation," she said.
