On January 7, 2025, the first day of Valentine’s Week, Loveyapa will be published. Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan and Sridevi’s daughter Khushi Kapoor make their big-screen debuts in the film. Fans have been anxiously awaiting Khushi and Junaid’s big-screen debuts, despite the fact that they made their OTT debuts with The Archies and Maharaj, respectively.
The film debuted with Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravikumar, but the latter performed better than the love drama on the first day, and the Khushi-Junaid film barely made Rs. 1 Cr at the box office. As of 8pm on the first day, Loveyapa has already made Rs. 1.02 Cr, based on Sacnilk’s preliminary reports.
On Friday, February 7, 2025, the Hindi occupancy rate for the film was 7.49%. It will take a lot of work for the film to recoup its estimated expenditure of around Rs. 50 Cr. Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani’s debut film, Azaad, will be the lowest opening film of 2025 if Loveyapa makes less than Rs. 1.5 Cr by 10 p.m. before the box office closes.
Under the auspices of Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment, Loveyapa, which is directed by Advait Chandan, is funded in part by Boney Kapoor, Pradeep Ranganathan, Aamir Khan, and Madhu Mantena. The movie’s plot centres on a couple whose phones were switched, and the secrets they discover completely upend their relationship.
