Police gunman caught drunk

Vadodara: A gunman from the Ahmedabad crime branch was booked by city police for being in a drunken state on Friday. He was traveling in a car with two others when the vehicle met with an accident on Rajmahal Road.
A Navapura police team reached the spot and found that the car had rammed into another vehicle. Upon questioning, the driver was identified as Dhiru Jhala, who appeared to be intoxicated. The two other occupants were Hitesh Patel and Kamlesh Rathod.
Police confirmed that Rathod, posted as a gunman in the Ahmedabad crime branch, was also in a drunken state. He was booked under the Prohibition Act, while Jhala was additionally charged with rash driving. The group was reportedly returning to Ahmedabad after attending a wedding in Vadodara.
