Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has appreciated the forest department’s successful Operation Aranya drive against smuggling of red sandalwood from AP’s forests. The special drive has resulted in large-scale seizure of smuggled logs.
“Red sandalwood trees play a prominent role in the conservation of nature and its protection is crucial,” stated PK who handles the departments of forests and environment.
He stated on Friday: "I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the officers and personnel of the state forest department and the red sanders anti-smuggling task force for their exemplary efforts in detecting and seizing 195 red sanders logs and apprehending 8 offenders involved in illegal smuggling."
This operation, he said, “is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our enforcement teams in protecting our precious natural heritage. Your dedication, vigilance, and swift action in curbing such illegal activities are commendable."
"Congratulations to the PCCF and head of forest force, SP of the red sanders anti-smuggling task force of Tirupati, CCF Tirupati and SP of Tirupati on this significant achievement," he added.
