Hyderabad police stand out at police sports meet

The Hyderabad police displayed outstanding performance at the ‘State-Level Police Sports Meet’ held in Karimnagar, securing 67 gold, 32 silver and 23 bronze medals across 26 disciplines. The team also clinched nine overall championship titles.

Director-General of Police Jitender and Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, C.V. Anand felicitated the medallists and congratulated them on their success.

Mr. Anand commended the athletes for their dedication and the rigorous training they underwent while balancing their demanding police duties. He also highlighted the mental resilience required to perform under pressure, particularly in high-stakes finals.

Recalling his own experiences as an athlete during his school and college years, Mr. Anand spoke about how sports instil discipline, teamwork and the ability to navigate life’s challenges. He said that physically fit personnel with a strong sporting mindset were better prepared to handle the pressures of policing.

Encouraging the athletes to aim for greater success at the upcoming All India Police Sports Meet, he promised them of full administrative support to enhance their training and preparation.

The felicitation ceremony was attended by senior officers, including N. Bhaskar, Additional DCP (Admin), B. Kishtayya, Additional DCP and Kishan Rao, ACP (CAR Sports Officer).
