Ranchi: A three-day residential workshop for resource teachers and therapists under inclusive education commenced on Thursday at the Jharkhand Council of Educational Research and Training (JCERT), Ranchi. The workshop, organized by the Integrated Regional Centre (Divyangjan) in collaboration with the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) and UNICEF, aims to enhance the skills of educators working with children with special needs.
Resource teachers and therapists from across Jharkhand's districts are participating in the workshop, which will be held in four batches until February 19. The first batch includes teachers from Ranchi, Khunti, Gumla, East Singhbhum, Seraikela, and West Singhbhum.
On the first day of the workshop, resource teachers and therapists were introduced to essential topics including therapeutic interventions in developmental disabilities, sensory integration techniques, home-based therapy for children with special needs, creating individual educational plans, and the basics of Indian sign language.
