Manali zone will not get piped water supply for 12 hours from 6 p.m. on Saturday owing to work to interconnect pipelines on Kamarajar Salai. A press release from Chennai Metrowater said areas such as Manali, Sadayankuppam, Idayanchavadi and Kadapakkam would not receive piped water supply. The water agency will carry out works to connect the distribution line at Kamarajar Salai junction with the pipeline from Manali overhead tank, as part of Manali water distribution scheme. Water supply from Dwaraka Nagar and Manali New Town distribution points will be stopped to enable the work.
