Vijayawada: The Election Commission has granted permission to the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) to invite tenders for developmental works in Amaravati.
As the model code of conduct is in effect due to the upcoming MLC elections in the Krishna-Guntur Graduates' Constituency on February 27, CRDA officials had sought approval from the Election Commission to proceed with the tendering process. In response, the EC has permitted the authority to call for tenders but has stipulated that they must not be finalised until the election process is completed.
