Pune – A massive wildfire broke out near Pimple Saudagar’s Mithila Nagari Society Sudarshan Chowk today , prompting a swift response from the fire department. Over 12 fire brigade vehicles have been deployed to contain the blaze, which erupted in an open area protected by the army.

Local resident Tushar Gholve, who first noticed the fire, alerted the fire brigade an hour before the teams arrived. “The fire is spreading rapidly, and firefighters are working tirelessly to control it,” Gholve reported.

Thick plumes of smoke have engulfed the surrounding areas, raising concerns among residents. Authorities have urged people to stay indoors and avoid the affected zone.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, but officials suspect dry vegetation and strong winds may have contributed to its rapid spread. Firefighters are employing advanced equipment to prevent it from reaching residential zones.
