Selection for young cricketers in Vellore, Ranipet to be held on Saturday

The president of Vellore District Cricket Association, G.V. Sampath, who is also founder and chairman, Naruvi Hospitals (Vellore), on Thursday said that selection of young cricketers with potential would be held at Sanco Foundation cricket ground in Shenbakkam from 7.30 a.m. on Saturday.

According to a press release, Mr. Sampath said the selected young boys and youth will be trained so that they can excel in the future and play for teams at the district and State level, in addition to popular private clubs.

The selection will be held for youth between 13 and 21 years of age. Those interested in participating can contact 7010594657 to register.

Youth above 19 years and competing in State-level cricket championships are not eligible to take part in the selection, the release said.
