Food vendor slits youth’s throat
Lucknow: An argument over payment turned brutal when a food stall owner, along with his aides, slit a youth's throat, leaving him with life-threatening injuries in the Bhagwanpur locality of the Nigohan police station area in Lucknow on Wednesday evening. The police admitted the youth to the hospital and detained the accused.
During the preliminary investigation, police found that after eating kebab paratha, a dispute over payment arose between the youth, Mukesh Singh, and the kebab paratha shop owner. The argument escalated, and in a fit of rage, the shop owner attacked Mukesh with a knife.
Mukesh later filed a complaint against three people at the Nigohan police station. Assistant commissioner of police, Mohanlalganj, Rajneesh Verma, said that an FIR for attempt to murder was registered against the owner, Atul Giri, and his aides, Ashish and Akhilesh. "We have detained all three accused and are verifying CCTV footage to determine the exact sequence of events,' he said.
