Had left seven months ago, reached US in Jan: Kin of man who was deported

Karnal: Nine out of 104 people deported from the US are from Karnal district, including Akash Rana (20) from Kalran in Gharaunda, Jatin Kainwal (14) from Nilokheri, Kajal Kainwal (15) from Nilokheri, Sumit (22) from Assandh and Manoj (33), Aditya Kumar, Arun Paul, Vipin and Satbir Singh. The minors Kajal and Jatin are siblings. Three others, Manish, Tamanna and Anuj, are from Panipat.
Shubham, Akash's brother, said, "My younger brother left for the US via ‘donkey route' seven months ago. He crossed the border this year on Jan 26. It hasn't even been 10 days and he has been deported back. Our father died when we were kids and we were forced to sell our land. We were able to send him to the US after taking a loan of Rs 60 lakh." "I had not been able to talk to him since the last few days," he added.
