Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam and AMMK founder T.T.V. Dhinakaran on Tuesday (February 4, 2025) urged the DMK government to fill up the several hundred vacancies of workers and helpers in anganwadis across the State.
Mr. Panneerselvam said numerous vacancies in anganwadis had not been filled over the last 44 months of the DMK government, and underlined how this had affected children.
In a statement, he said the vacancies in anganwadis were impacting the very functioning of the the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS).
Mr. Dhinakaran, in a social media post, also criticised the DMK government over the vacancies, and further contended that children could not be provided with sufficient nutrition on time.
