Man dancing in club beaten up, undergoes surgery; bouncer held in Gurgaon
Gurgaon: A bouncer at a club in Gwalpahari was arrested for allegedly assaulting a customer. In his complaint, the 31-year-old victim from Sector-63 alleged that he works as a model and on the morning of Jan 25, when he was dancing a bouncer started pushing him out of the club and punched him in the face when he resisted.
The victim suffered a nasal bone fracture in the assault, said police.
A case, meanwhile, has been registered against the accused, Rohit, based on a complaint by Nikhil Sehrawat.
"When I was dancing in the club, a bouncer started forcing me out. He then suddenly punched me in the face, and I fell unconscious. I woke up in Paras Hospital a little while later. After undergoing tests, I learnt that my nasal bone was fractured. I moved to another hospital in RK Puram in Delhi and underwent surgery for the nose injury," Sehrawat told police.
Based on the victim's complaint, a case under sections 115(2) (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 117(2) (punishment for voluntarily causing grievous hurt), and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
"During the interrogation, Rohit said that the complainant consumed too much alcohol and sustained injury in a scuffle while being taken out of the club. We were told that the complainant came with friends, but they all left in the morning. The case is under investigation," head constable Vikash said.
