Two held for selling gutka

The Marthandam police arrested two individuals on Wednesday for allegedly being involved in selling gutka.

During a patrol near the Marthandam Bus Stand, the police intercepted the suspects and arrested them for possessing gutka for sale. The accused were identified as C. Jegan, 45 from Kollanvilai and A. Selvaraj, 48 from Palliyadi.

The police seized 8.2 kg gutka from them and a case was registered at Marthandam police station. Further investigations are on.
