Team India's batting star Virat Kohli's fitness is arguably an example for all aspiring or young cricketers and continues to be among the fittest even at the fag end of his career. It was on display in Nagpur as a few pictures of Kohli displaying his six-pack abs went viral on social media.
The former Indian captain has returned to training with the national side ahead of the three-game ODI series against England that begins on February 6 in Nagpur. The three 50-over games will be critical for the Men in Blue's preparation for the Champions Trophy, consisting of eight team, starting on February 19.
Virat Kohli on the verge of massive milestone ahead of the series
Meanwhile, the Delhi-born cricketer is on the verge of completing 14000 runs in ODIs and will become the third batter to do it if he can make 96 in the 50-over games. Only Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara have crossed the milestone in the format but Kohli can also become the fastest to reach the landmark.
The star batter's most recent appearance in competitive cricket was during the Ranji Trophy when he drew massive crowds at the Arun Jaitley Stadium during the game between Delhi and Railways. However, he made only six runs in what was his first Ranji Trophy appearance in 12 years.
With Kohli also enduring a forgettable Test tour of Australia, he will be hungry to make an impact in ODI cricket.
