Mumbai:
Western Railway train services faced significant disruption due to a point failure at Borivli and a simultaneous technical issue in the Train Management System (TMS). This led to severe bunching of trains ahead of peak hours.
The signal failure occurred on the up and down slow lines around 2:30 PM and lasted for 45 minutes, further worsening the situation. Additionally, the TMS failure affected real-time train identification, making it difficult to track train numbers accurately.
This dual system failure aggravated the problem, causing cascading delays and congestion across the railway network, inconveniencing commuters during crucial travel hours.
