South Western Railway has announced safety awards for its staff in various divisions.
General Manager Arvind Srivastava has announced 10 awards to Mantha Jaganatha Rao, Vishweshwar Anand and Tharachandh Jhat of Hubballi division, Manjunathan and B. Ramanjianeyulu of Bengaluru division and Harish, B. Ananda, Sridhar D.R, Thippeshappa and Ravi Kumar of Mysuru division.
He recently chaired a safety meeting with the principal heads of various departments at the conference hall at Rail Soudha in Hubballi.
The awards were given in appreciation of alertness of the staff during duty, their contribution in averting untoward incidents and ensuring safety in train operations during the previous months, according to a release.
