Over 2,000 IndiGo and Mumbai airport taxi staffers join BJP-affiliated Airport Aviation Employees Union

Mumbai: The BJP-affiliated Airport Aviation Employees Union (AAEU) of the Mumbai airport on Tuesday announced that over 2,000 employees from an IndiGo union and those from the airport's taxi unions have joined the AAEU. The IndiGo workers, employed at Mumbai airport and Goa airport, were earlier members of Uddhav Thackeray's Bharatiya Kamgar Sena, said AAEU. The taxi union workers too moved from Sena union to AAEU, it added. A ceremony, near Mantralaya, was held to welcome the new members. "The substantial transition represents a significant consolidation of airport workforce with the AAEU," it added.
