During interrogation, they confessed to committing robberies to fund their expenses and leisure activities. They targeted wedding venues, identified individuals carrying money bags and struck when the area was crowded. They were apprehended while scouting wedding locations in Loni again. The accused also revealed that an accomplice, Amir from Brahmpuri, Delhi, was involved but managed to escape.
